When we talk about MS Excel, the first thing come in our mind is spreadsheets. Believe it or not! It can also be used to create stunning art pieces. What did you say? It’s impossible?  No, it’s not. Mr. Tatsuo Horiuchi, 73 yeals old Japanese, has been using Excel to create stunningly beautiful traditional Japanese artworks. Cool! Isn’t it?

Now you’ll be thinking that why he doesn’t use Software like Adobe Photoshop. He said that other specialized graphics software are way too expensive that’s why he selected MS Excel to create his artwork because it is pre-installed in the computer.Before retirement, he has seen his colleagues making graphs on it, so he thought it can also be used as a drawing tool. When he got retired, he felt like he wanted to do something new and bought a computer and start experimenting digital art. He isn’t the world’s first person to use Excel as an art medium, other artists have also used Excel to draw and paint in. But none of them are senior citizens creating stunningly beautiful traditional Japanese artworks.
