London Skyline Made Out Of Sugar Cubes

A sugary skyline — featuring St Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye, the Gherkin and Tower Bridge — marks the bitter-sweet story of London’s Docklands. The piece was created by artist Chris Naylor, who used 2,186 sugar cubes for the artwork, which weighs in at 13kg. The Museum of London Docklands commissioned the work to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

He says:

“I could spend 15 minutes carving a perfect curve into a cube, only to have it crumble into dust,” Naylor told Wired.co.uk. “I must have inhaled my week’s supply of sugar in the first afternoon.” There was a lot of “collateral” damage, he adds.

PS: It might look sweet, but it is not for eating. 😀
