The Coca Cola Bow – Plastic Bottle Pavilion

The ‘Cola-Bow’ by Penda is an impressive public art installation made out  of more than 17,000 recycled plastic bottles, which are braided together to create a form influenced by the swoop in the coca-cola logo. It was created in joint effort with universities around Beijing and Coca-Cola China. For every ten empty bottles given to the project, citizens were gifted with a full Coca-Cola bottle. This installation also serve as a statement against plastic pollution by taking trash and turning it into a shelter.

The imagination is really challenged by the concept. Just think what could be accomplished with all the plastic bags on the streets of London…or the condom wrappers.
