The 10th Spring

Taking inspiration from a Japanese tradition Hanami, a team of 3 artists including Margaux Rodot, Benoit Tastet, and Mickaël Martin created this 6-days refreshing installation titled “Un dixième Printemps” (The 10th Spring) within a courtyard at the Hôtel de Griffy in Montpellier, France. It beautifully  captures the true feeling of spring by mimicking the color and feel of the falling petals of the cherry tree.

They used to release 650 pink and white helium balloons daily and there was 10 meter high net above the courtyard which enable the balloons to stay in the building. Almost 4000 balloons and 7m3 of helium was used to make this installation a big success.
